About Us
Vintage Bizarre is the brainchild of Louise Sleigh and Beth Bertenshaw - together they are Vintage Bizarre! The name 'bizarre' (yes, that spelling), is the perfect way to describe their business - and friendship too. Look up this word in the dictionary and you'll find it described as 'odd or unusual - in an interesting way''. These girls may be very different, yet they compliment each other so beautifully. The same can be said for their wonderful array of vintage merchandise which between them, ranges from unique dresses and outerwear to linens, crockery and fabulous jewellery created from vintage bits 'n' bobs collected over the years.
Beth and Louise hail from different parts of the world yet were drawn together through their love of vintage. Louise was born and raised in the North West of
England and Beth
originates from Richmond, Virginia. Their meeting was pure chance - a stroke
of luck you might say - and the rest is history! It's resulted in a lasting friendship and a story that's quite bizarre: Vintage
Bizarre!
Both have been selling online for a number of years; Louise specialising in ladies vintage clothing and accessories from her website, Catwalk Creative, and Beth from her Etsy boutique, Faux Brit. They now combine their expertise and knowledge to offer their fabulous vintage finds from selling venues across the North West. Between them, they have amassed a considerable amount of buying and selling experience in the UK and USA markets and sell internationally with customers in Europe, America, Canada and Australia. Beth and Louise are active members of the Vintage Fashion Guild (VFG).
Catwalk Creative and Faux Brit continue with their separate online vintage businesses, but Vintage Bizarre gives them the opportunity to join forces, get mobile, and meet with their customers in person. Plus they can do what they love best - talk vintage! Take a while to look around this site and get some inspiration from Beth and Louise's favourite page, Fashion Trends 2010. Mix 'n' match your vintage to create your own unique style! If you'd like to visit Vintage Bizarre in person, please refer Events. Also, sign up for an email newsletter and keep up-to-date with the Vintage Bizarre world. You don't want to miss a thing! If you can't get to Vintage Bizarre, you can purchase online.
